Hong Kong and Vietnam 2024-2025
The end-of-year holidays between the islands of Hong Kong and central Vietnam, from Hoi An to Da Nang.
A Christmas far from the snow. Hong Kong opens the trip with its vertigo of towers and, half an hour away by ferry, the small island of Cheung Chau, car-free, with its bicycles and its stalls of dried fish.
Then on to central Vietnam. Hoi An, the old merchant town listed by Unesco, lights up every evening with thousands of lanterns; nearby you board the famous round basket boats of woven bamboo. The Cham sanctuary of My Son, buried in the jungle, and the Marble Mountains of Da Nang, with their cave shrines, round out the visit.
Back to Hong Kong for the New Year, with a last climb to the great Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island.
