France 2020 — Nice and the Riviera
Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Èze and inland Provence in July 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The summer of 2020, the one when travel was blocked, ended up on the French Riviera. Nice was the base: Place Masséna, the Cours Saleya, the old town, the Colline du Château, the monastery of Cimiez. From there, days out to Monaco, to Cannes and out to sea, to the perched village of Èze, on the coastal path of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and at Antibes.
The second week moved inland: the citadel of Entrevaux, the Lac de Castillon, the Verdon gorges, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, the lavender fields of Valensole, then Mont Ventoux and the Nesque gorges.
